If you still don’t get a logon dialog, you will have to install Client for Microsoft Networks.
Note
The steps below describe how to install the Client for Microsoft Networks
on computers running Microsoft® Windows (TM) 95, 98 and ME.
Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, and Windows XP do not need additional steps
and should have the Client for Microsoft Networks pre-installed.
To install the Client for Microsoft Networks in Windows 95, 98, or ME:
1. Open Control Panel.
2. On the General tab of the Network dialog, check to see if Client for Microsoft Networks is not yet in the list.
3. If not, click the Add button.
4. In the newly opened window, select Client and Add.
5. Another window opens. Select Microsoft under Manufacturers. Under Network Clients, select Client for Microsoft Networks.
6. Close all dialog boxes by clicking the OK button.
7. You may be requested to insert your Microsoft® Windows™ CD-ROM and/or to reboot your computer.
When starting your computer, you will be asked for a password. If you did not have a password before, just choose any user name you like and enter a password. A new user will then be created. You may leave the password field blank, so that you can just press Enter when starting Windows.
